As a minister the weekend coming has a very different feel than weekend stands as a relaxing time for others. Although sermons are preached on Sunday, Saturday’s area big part of what happens in church. News reports, ideas from reading, experiences wherever you go all filter into the Sunday moment. Once asked when do you finish your sermon–I responded, when I say amen.
Not a complaint rather an observation. So it’s Friday and I start listening to the news and hear further reports of the white Extremists attack on Muslims in New Zealand.
Sad, terrifying, confusing, and it compiles these white extremists killing once again. Does this now show this mindset as a terrorist group? Without a doubt.
Ok back to sermon…
Psalm 27:11 Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. 27:13 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Dwell on these things. Let them become a mantra to guide your day. Please give this a try. This will being light into your weekend.
