Johnny and Cristi just moved to the 13th floor apt in Deep Elum, Dallas, Tx. It is the coolest apt. It is unlike any other dwelling in the McGarey Clan. It is modern, comfortable, fantastic kitchen, shower, view, and to add to it there is a Starbucks fresh ground coffee machine in the lobby, a perk. (pun intended)
We had fun together. We ate at some cool places around here. Cristi and I and daughter Nolen went to a crafting place where we got to choose what we made and we had fun crafting and drinking and talking. It is a joy to watch Nolen and her mom talk to one another. What a head on straight young woman she is. Marshall came home from Freshman College camp and it is good to see him. He’s grown in front of my eyes from a little kid to a cool young man, college freshman, and all my good wishes go with him in the days ahead.
I have been here a couple of nights and have really rested well. . Tomorrow I go see my cousins and one of their sons and his daughter, who is starting college as well in Washington State. She is from Japan and her dad brought her over to help her settle in and take a western states tour. I am looking forward to seeing them. They are with Evans and Val Cayce who are dear cousins that I’m really close to. We’ve been through a lot of things together over the years that has only made us more strongly bonded.
I am blessed with family. One person recently described my live as living in Grace. Well I’ll take that assessment. Yes, I will.
